K&N air filter is an oil and comes in a 6.5 ounce aerosol can. It is specially made to work in combination with cotton fabric in the air filter elements. When oil is use as directed, it quickly penetrates the filter pleats, where it remains suspended in the cotton fabric until the element is cleaned with air filter cleaner.
