This 3" stretched Chopper gas tank has a left side petcock opening, and a fuel capacity of 5.3 gallons. It features a flat underside with recessed mount holes. Tank is for custom applications with a 5" backbone and 0-2" down tube length. The stretch is on the back of the tank and does not affect the mounts. This gives the gas tank a cleaner more custom look. The tank requires sanding and primer. Check the tank for flaws and fit prior to painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Check the petcock opening, making sure the petcock can be easily installed. The petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the petcock. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion.
