Frame weld on hardtail fits stock frames with disc brakes. Allows use of 200 series rear tire with belt. Unit has a 11-3/16" width between the axle plates and should be aligned for belt clearance prior to final welding. Requires a 3/4" axle. Hardtail features a 1" diameter tubing. Custom application on 1958-1984 models. Hardtail will accept a 200 wide tire with chain drive rear sprocket. DIY hardtailing is easy to install as the alignment is accomplished in the mount design provided. Welding should be performed by skilled welding technician.

Suggested to use #44-1986 axle.
The width of the tail section should be exactly 9-1/8". Due to the welding process this may vary slightly & builder will need to modify accordingly.
