Generator alternator conversion kit replaces original generator and regulator. This compact high output alternator measures 3-1/4" long, and weighs only 3 lbs. This conversion kit has high power output of 17 amps @ 1000 rpm, billet housing for strength and accurate alignment, and a stress proof shaft which is stronger than stock. The kit includes black alternator with black regulator and instructions. Kit cannot be used with mini battery (12N55A-3B). Kit can be used on 1957-1983 XL, 1941-1969 FL models if the generator bolt holes in the engine case are drilled to 5/16".
